Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

The death occurred in the Proserpine Hospital on Tuesday of Mr. Michael Pender, aged 52 years. He was a son of the late Mr. Tom Pender, who farmed in the Brandy Creek area for  many years, and upon the death of his father he carried on the property until he disposed of it some time ago to Mr. Richardson. He was then employed at the Proserpine Mill until failing health compelled him to seek medical attention.
A brother, Patrick, and sister, Catherine, predeceased him some years ago. A niece and nephew reside in Brisbane.
The funeral moved from St. Catherine's Church on Wednesday, Rev. Father McCoy officiating at the services.
