Son of Alfred Vearing and Mary Vearing nee Knapsey of Illinois via Beckom, NSW. Brother of Alfred Arnold Vearing who was killed in action on 4 October 1917 while serving with the 37th Battalion. Alfred is buried in the Sanctuary Wood Cemetery, Plot 1V, Row J, Grave 10.
