Private Charles Godfrey Masters Randall (Service No:Q143262) enlisted in the ACMF on 7 September 1942. Private Randall served with 19 Battalion and was attached to General Details Depot when he was Discharged on 30 May 1943.

Born in 1898 in Laidley on the Darling Downs in QLD, Digger was the ninth of ten children of James Robert Randall (b1845 in Norfolk, England) and Mary Jane Masters (b1860 in Dorset, England). James was a Seaman in England - an Apprentice on the John III in 1861 and an Able Seaman on the Florence Nightingale in 1867. Mary was a Domestic Servant when she immigrated in 1877, arriving in Rockhampton, QLD on board the Scottish Hero, James and Mary married in 1878 in Laidley QLD where they raised their family and James was a Labourer.

Digger worked as a Grocery Shop Assistant in Laidley QLD, and in 1934 married Muriel Bateman (b1910 in Laidley QLD). Digger and Muriel settled in Laidley where Digger worked as a Shop Assistant. Digger died in 1967 and Muriel in 1997.
