Craftsman William Edward James Randall (Service No:Q151861) enlisted on 19 June 1942 and qaulified as an Armourer. Craftsman Randall was attached to 11 Base Workshop when he was Discharged on 31 January 1946.

The eldest of two, William was born in 1911 at Laidley on the Darling Downs in QLD to William Walter Randall (b1880 At Laidley, Darling Downs, QLD) and Lydia Caroline Boughen (b1891 at Rosewood, Darling Downs, QLD). William Snr was a Labourer in 1909 when he and Lydia married in Laidley, QLD where they raised their family before settling at Southport following William Snr's Discharge from the AIF in 1919.

William worked as a Chemist's Assistant and Cleaner in Southport QLD, where in 1936 he married Irene Lillian Dolan (b1906 in Brisbane, QLD). William and Lillian settled in Southport where William worked as a Cleaner until his death in 1957. Lillian died in 1996.
