Enlistment Photos x2
Attached to the service record of QX27994 Cecil Albert Reid (held by the National Archives of Australia), are 2 sets of enlistment photos. Both have been uploaded for view on this site.
The photos appear to have been taken on different dates.
The backgrounds are different.
The service number format is markedly different.
It is of interest that the Attestation form signed by QX27994 C A Reid (Service record) has two different dates.
The first paragraph reveals that he enlisted for service at Brisbane, 27/1/1942.
On the same page, in section C of the attestation form, the date C A Reid signs his oath of enlistment is, 23/2/1942.
Why would that be?
I don't know.
