26 YEARS' CONTINUOUS MINISTRY.
The Rev. Alexander Clark has completed 26 years' continuous ministry in the Crow's Nest Presbyterian Church, and tomorrow he will be one of the preachers at the forty eighth anniversary of this church.
Mr. Clark was inducted to this charge in 1910. The present church was built on the site of Crow's Nest Cottage, one of the earliest residences an the North Shore, on the verandah of which the first Presbyterian service was held, in 1888. He arrived from Scotland in 1897, when he was appointed to Mackay (Queensland), then a large parish. Transferred to Toowong, near Brisbane, three years later, he ministered there until 1904, in which year he accepted a unanimous call to Bathurst. Mr. Clark's activities have been wider than his parish, and he was largely responsible for the establishment of churches at Willoughby, Artarmon, Northbridge, and Lane Cove. During the war he acted as a chaplain in the expeditionary forces. He has also interested himself in local public and philanthropic movements.
