Son of William and Ida Robertson of Craiglie (near Port Douglas) Queensland. Married Daisy Hooper in Townsville about March 1942. Daisy passed away 25 June 1944 after giving birth to Noel (May 28, 1944). Rudie remarried to Isabel Hewitt of Wagga Wagga on January 15, 1946 and together produced two sons, Bruce (April 3, 1947) and James (Jim January 16, 1951) Rudie operated his own floor sanding and polishing business until retirement in about 1972. sadly and unexpectedly, Isbel  (Bell) passed away suddenly in November 1974. Rudie passed away 2 years later in October 1976 after a 18 month battle with cancer.
