Charles’s name has been inscribed on the Waratah Park Memorial Gates, Lambton Park Citizens' Memorial Gates, Lambton and New Lambton Municipal District Roll of Honor, Lambton Rechabites (John Wise Tent) No. 73 Roll of Honour and the Lambton Rose of Australia Lodge G.U.O.O.F. Roll of Honour (unveiled on the 5th April 1916, whereabouts unknown). Name not inscribed on the Lambton Ladies Anzac Club Roll of Honor.

The headstone at the Nichol’s gravesite (only Louisa sleeping here) has been destroyed, therefore no memorial inscription to tell us of the supreme sacrifice of her son, so August 2018 I placed a memorial cross adorned with poppies on the gravesite, taken a photo of the memorialised grave and uploaded the photo onto the Northern Cemetery website as a permanent record of his service.
