Gunner Ivan Marcus Routledge (Service No:QX28830) enlisted in the Australian Army on 19 January 1942 as a Private attached to 17 Field Artillery Regiment. He was a Gunner attached to 2/13 Australian Comp AA Regiment RAA when he was Discharged on 2 November 1944. Brother Morton (Service No:Q203550) served with the ACMF.

Born in 1922 in Childers QLD, Ivan was the youngest of six children of Francis Henry Routledge (b1881 in Brisbane, QLD) and Susannah May Munt (b1884 in Laidley, QLD). Francis (a Farmer) and Susannah married in 1905 in Bundaberg, QLD and settled at Dallarnil nr Biggenden QLD where they raised their family and Francis was a Farmer.

Ivan worked as a Farm Labourer in Dallarnil, and in 1946 in Childers QLD married Marjorie Olive Birtles (b1924 in Childres, QLD). Ivan and Marjorie lived in Childers where Ivan was a Butcher before settling in Appletree Creek nr Childers where Ivan was a Labourer. Marjorie died in 1981 and Ivan in 2002.
