Private Morton Edward Routledge (Service No:Q203550) enlisted in the ACMF on 4 November 1942. He was attached to 4 Battalion VDC (QLD) when he Discharged on 23 April 1944. Brother Ivan (Service No:QX28830) also served in WWII.

Born in 1913 in Dallarnil nr Biggenden QLD, Morton was the fourth of six children of Francis Henry Routledge (b1881 in Brisbane, QLD) and Susannah May Munt (b1884 in Laidley, QLD). Francis (a Farmer) and Susannah married in 1905 in Bundaberg QLD and settled in Daallarnil where they raised their family and Francis was a Farmer.

Morton worked as a Farm Labourer and Farmer in Dallarnil and in 1939 in Biggenden, married Laura Alice Nichol (b1919 in Mt Morgan, QLD). Morton and Laura settled in Redland Bay in Cleveland QLD where Morton was a Farmer. Morton died in 1982 and Laura in 2019.
