Horace William MENSFORTH was born in Ipswich, Queensland on 27th November, 1895

His parents were John MENSFORTH & Helen HIND

He enlisted in Ipswich on 12th February, 1915 and embarked with the 25th Infantry Battalion, D Company on 29th June, 1915 on the HMAT Aeneas

Horace was Killed in Action in Belgium on 21st January, 1918 and is buried in the Underhill Farm Cemetery in Belgium - his name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial
