Private Kevin Vincent Thomas Schuh (Service Nos:419983/Q207592) initially served in the Militia (9 January 1939 - 12 January 1940) with 47 Battalion before serving in the ACMF (24 March 1942 - 20 September 1943) with 10 Battalion (QLD) VDC (Reserved Occupation). Younger brother Roy also served in WWII.

Kevin was born at Mt Morgan QLD in 1921, second of three children of Louis Christopher Schuh (b1894 in Rockhampton, QLD) and Charlotte (Lull) May Bayley (b1901 in Maryborough, QLD). Louis and Lull married in 1918 in Maryborough, and lived in Mt Morgan and Bundaberg where they raised their family and Louis worked as an Engine Driver.

Kevin started work as an Apprentice Boilermaker at Bundaberg Foundry before enlisting in the Army. In 1942 in Bundaberg he married Doreen Bertha Sheehan (b1919 in Bundaberg, QLD). Kevin and Doreen settled in Bundaberg, where they raised their family and Kevin was a Boilermaker. Both Kevin and Doreen died in 2006 - Kevin in March and Doreen in September.
