Private Roy Louis Schuh (Service No:Q257075) served in the ACMF (17 April 1942 - 26 August 1944) with 10 Battalion (QLD) VDC. Older brother Kevin also served in the Army in WWII.

Roy was born in Mt Morgan QLD in 1923, youngest of three children of Louis Christopher Schuh (1894 in Rockhampton, QLD) and Charlotte (Lull) May Bayley (b1901 in Maryborough, QLD). Louis and Lull married in Maryborough in 1918, and lived in Mt Morgan and Bundaberg, where they raised their family and Louis worked as an Engine Driver.

Roy was an Apprentice Electrical Engineer with Fairymead Sugar Coy before serving with the ACMF. In 1944 Roy married Doreen (Dawn) Laura Donovan (b1923 in Springsure, QLD) in Bundaberg, where they settled and raised their family and Roy worked as an Electrical Engineer. Roy died in 2014 and Dawn in 2019.
