Norm was the son of Isaac Scott (b1880 in Charlton, QLD) and Mary Campbell (b1890 in Bingera nr Bundaberg, QLD) (BDM/C/6753). Isaac (a Shearer and Labourer) and Mary married in 1928 in Bundaberg, QLD where they settled.
Norm was working at Forestry Reserve No 8 in Aramara, Howard QLD as a Labourer when he enlisted in the Australian Army in June 1940. He was a Warrant Officer II (Service No:QX10608) attached to 2/3 Field Workshops when he was Discharged in April 1946.
In 1947 Norm married Mavis Sylvia Gardner (b1921 in Yarraman, QLD) - Mavis served in the RAAF (Corporal; Service No:94192) in WWII. Norm and Mavis moved to Goomeri, QLD where Norm was a Forestry Overseer. They lived in Innisfail, Emerald, and Tully where Norm was a Forest Ranger/Overseer. In the mid 1960s they moved to Chermside in Brisbane where Norm was an Overseer and Inspector. Mavis died in 2001 and Norm in 2003.
