Youngest of the three brothers (Les and Pan) who served in WWII, Private James Sheehan (Service No:Q106054) served in the ACMF with 47th Battalion from 15 May 1941 to 30 May 1942 (Essential Occupation).

Jim was born in Bundaberg QLD in 1920, tenth of fifteen children of William Sheehan (b1877 in Brisbane QLD) and Louisa Bertha Walk (b1885 in Bundaberg, QLD). William was a Labourer in Bundaberg when he and Louisa married in 1905, and settled at Barolin via Bundaberg. William was a Sugar Cane Farmer until his death in 1938. Louisa died in 1931.

Jim worked as a Labourer/Sugar Cane Farmer in the Bundaberg region -  Barolin and South Kalkie - until his death in 1987.
