Commenced return to Australia on 8 October 1918 from Italy aboard HT Ormonde before transhipping to HT Port Sydney disembarking on the 2 December 1918

In 1922c Frederick married Amelia Hennessy at Bulli, NSW

In 1924 he was residing at Bulli, NSW and later moved Randwick where he was residing in 1945 when he lost his medals
