Private Albert Thomasson (Service No:Q213291) served in the ACMF with 13th Battalion VDC (QLD) from 12 April 1942 to 20 June 1945.

Born in 1908 at Barmoya, Rockhampton QLD, Ab was the second of nine children of Samuel Storey Thomasson (b1876 in Rockhampton, QLD) and Emma Louisa Nitz (b1880 at Crocodile Paddock, Rockhampton, QLD). Samuel (a Miner) and Emma married in 1907 in Rockhampton QLD and settled at Barmoyah, The Caves via Rockhampton where they raised their family and Samuel was a Selector and Dairy Farmer.

Ab was a Dairy Farmer on Bethele Farm at Barmoya, The Caves via Rockhampton - he was an amateur Boxer, member of The Caves Rifle Club and Chairman of The Caves Sporting Committee. In 1940 in Rockhampton, Ab married Hazel Winifred Rayner (b1919 in Surrey, London) and the couple settled at Bethele Farm where Ab was a Dairy Farmer. Hazel died in 1980 and Ab in 1990.
