Craftsman Keith Alexander Thompson (Service No:Q121572) enlisted in the ACMF in November 1940 and was attached to 11 Base Workshops AEME when he was Discharged in December 1945.

The youngest of four children, Keith was born in 1921 in Maryborough QLD to George Thompson (b1881 in Yengarie, QLD) and Lily Maud Maudsley (b1887 in Ipswich, QLD). George (a Teacher) and Lily marrie din 1910 in Boonara, QLD and lived in Malakoff via Dalby, Urangan, Goomburra and Boonha in Ipswich QLD where George was a Teacher.

Keith was a third year Electrical Apprentice when he enlisted in the ACMF and following his Discharge continued to live in Brisbane with his mother Lily (his father George had died in 1938) and work as an Electrician. In the mid 1950s Keith was working as a Fitter and by 1958 had married Lillian June. The couple settled in Bardon in Brisbane, QLD where Keith worked as a Fitter. Keith died in 1995.
