Private Kevin Heale Thomson (Service Nos:QX52670/Q150005) served in the Army from 1 May 1943 to 11 April 1946 and was attached to 42 Australian Landing Craft Coy at Discharge. Father Benjamin Walter Thomson (Private; Service No:3461) served in WWI.

Born in 1924 at Crows Nest on the Darling Downs in QLD, Kevin was the third of eight children of Benjamin Walter Thomson (b1893 at Ingebyra, NSW) and Elsie Isabella Heale (b1898 at Ma Ma Creek, QLD). Benjamin (a Labourer) and Elsie married at Yarraman QLD in 1921 and lived at Crows Nest and Yarraman where they raised their family and Benjamin was a Labourer, Carrier and Farmer. The family lived briefly in Brisbane in the mid 1930s before settling at Palmwoods in the 1940s.

Kevin was a Stockman at Palmwoods when he enlisted in the Army, and following his Discharge, worked as a Stockman at Ti Ti via Mundubberah. In 1950 in Pomona QLD, Kevin married Maureen Valmai (aka Valmai) Sankey (b1930 in Pomona, QLD). Kevin and Valmai lived at Ti Ti via Mundubberah where Kevin workd as a Stockman before moving to Mundubberah in the early 1960s where Kevin was a Contractor. By 1969 the couple had settled in Texas, QLD and Kevin worked for the Department of Agriculture as a Stock Inspector. Kevin died in 1991
