WILLIAM THURECHT
DIES IN GREEN SLOPES
The death occurred in the Greenslopes Repatriation Hospital on, Wednesday of William James Thurecht, eldest son of Mr. George Thurecht and the late Mrs. Thurecht (Sydney). The late Mr. Thurecht was born in Longreach about 53 years ago and spent his early life in the town. He left Longreaeh with his family in 1935. He served with the 2/15 Inf. Battalion AIF, and saw service in the Islands and Borneo. He was discharged early in 1947. His death was the result of war service. He is survived by his widow and three daughters. His father, two brothers and a sister live in Sydney.
