Corporal Harold Edwin Trout (Service No:Q121969) enlisted in the ACMF on 23 May 1941 as a Private - Clerk - attached to 5 Australian Army Ordnance Corps, and was a Corporal attached to 3 Advance Ordnance Depot at Discharge on 3 May 1946.

Youngest of six, Harry was born in Brisbane QLD in 1908 to Richard Philip Trout (b1875 in Brisbane, QLD) and Catherine (Katie) Smith Lee (b1873 in Brisbane, QLD). Richard and Katie married in 1895 in Brisbane, where they settled and raised their family and Richard was a Butcher. Following Katie's death in 1910, Richard remarried in 1912 to Mary Ann Scanlan (b1885 in Brisbane, QLD).

Harry worked as a Salesman and Storeman in Brisbane before enlisting in the ACMF. Following his Discharge, Harry settled in Brisbane, where he lived with his father and stepmother, and worked as a Shop Assistant. Harry died in 1976.
