Biography contributed by Chris Buckley

Thomas was the eldest of three children of Alexander Cumming Wilson (born 1886 in Tiaro, QLD) and Elizabeth Ann McRobert (born 1892 in Tiaro, QLD). Alexander and Elizabeth married in 1913 in Maryborough, QLD and raised their three sons on the family farm - Mavisbank - in Tiaro, QLD.

In 1938 Thomas married Ena Jean Williamson (born 1909 in Miles, Maranoa, QLD) in Miles QLD where Ena was a Nurse. Thomas and Ena were in Brisbane, QLD when Thoams enlisted in the Army, serving with the Reinforcements Reception Depot as a Sergeant (Service No: Q267213). Both Thomas' younger brothers served in WWII - James as a Sergeant (Service N0: 405103) with the RAAF and Andrew as a Sergeant (Service No: QX10799) with 2.26 Infantry Battalion.

Discharged in 1943, Thomas and Ena remained in Brisbane where Thomas worked as an Engineer before returning to the family farm - Mavisbank - in Tiaro, QLD. When youngest brother Andrew returned to Mavisbank after the War, Thomas and Ena moved in 1950 to Biloela in QLD where Thomas worked as an Electirican before farming in Tinana, Pialba, QLD during the 1950's. In 1959 they moved to Maryborough and Thomas worked as a Refrigeration Contractor until his death in 1985. Ena died in 1984.
