Staff Nurse Norma Woodward says in a recent letter to relatives in Brisbane that she has seen Australian nurses evacuated from Greece. They were well and did not appear to be any the worse for their gruelling experience, she adds.
'It was thought at first that our unit would go to Greece, too, but we did not. I would have hated losing all my goods and chattels, but it would
have been a grand experience.'
Mr. and Mrs. L. Woodward, of Dunsmore Street, Kelvin Grove, Staff Nurse Woodward received her training at the Brisbane General Hospital and the Melbourne Women's Hospital. She was a sister at the Proserpine Hospital, North Queensland, when she enlisted.
