OBITUARY.
MR. JOSEPH AGNEW.
Milllcent, July 2.
The death occurred on Monday of Mr. Joseph Agnew, aged 48 years, the fourth son of the late Mr. and Mrs Robert Agnew, of Millicent. He was one of the most widely known  and popular residents of the district, and the funeral on Wednesday was one of the largest seen at Millicent. Twenty returned soldiers in civilian attire marched at the head of  the long cortege and four of them acted as pall-bearers--Messrs. F. M. White, J. R. McLaughlin, Jas. Corcoran, and P. N. Sinclair, and Mr. Vic. Willshire sounded "The Last Post"  at the graveside.
Mr. Agnew had two years service with the A.I.F., and his death was due to a tubercular ailment contracted whilst in France. He was also a South African war veteran. On his  return from the war he married Miss Jane Wallis, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Wallis of Millicent, and had since engaged in farming operations with considerable success. His relatives in this district are the widow and Messrs. Robert and James (Glencoe), John and Hugh Agnew (Millicent), and three sisters, Mesdames E. F. R. Boneham, W. H. Walker,  and H. H. Osborne.
