Biography contributed by Claude McKelvey

Eugene Baglietto was born in Gibraltor, a son to Francis Baglietto. It is unclear when he emigrated to Queensland but when he joined the 4th Queensland Imperial Bushmen for the South African (Boer) War he gave his N.O.K. as his sister, Victoria, in Gibraltor. There is no record of him marrying in Queensland and he was working as a cook in the Barcaldine area when he passed away.
