Wilson Dacres Beatty was born on 18 Apr 1873 at Chinchilla, a son to Theophilus Stewart Beatty and Eliza Helen Beatty (nee Evans). He married Ellen Maud Haynes from Longreach in Longreach on Christmas Eve 24 Dec 1907. He was a grazier in the Winton district and was owner of Nuken Station at the time of his death from the Flu in 1919.
