Albert Edward Bishop was born on 12 Aug 1880 in Queensland, a son to Samuel Bishop and Jane Bishop (nee Mitchell). When he enlisted in the 6th QIB in 1901 he noted his N.O.K. as his father Samuel Bishop at Torwood, Brisbane.
