Percival Walter BRITAIN was born in Collingwood, Victoria on 20th July, 1873

His parents were Percival BRITAIN & Madaleine (Madge) COHEN

He served as a Trooper in the 3rd NSW Imperial Bushmen during the Boer War and returned to Australia in May, 1902 on the ship Aurania

He married in New Zealand in 1909 to Minnie Annie WILLIAMSON

Percival died in Christchurch, New Zealand on 10th February, 1933 and is buried in the Sydenham Cemetery, Block 41A Plot 47 in Christchurch
