18 Oct 1914 - Enlisted and promoted to rank of Sergeant.
21 Dec 1914 - Embarked from Australia on transport "Port Macquarie" as part of 2nd Light Horse Regiment.
17 Apr 1917 - Wounded in action - bomb wound to knee, thigh, penis and feet.
18 Dec 1917 - promoted to Lieutenant.
28 Dec 1918 - promoted to Captain (on AIF list - 3 June 1919).
28 May 1919 - Embarked HT Hungaria at Port Said to return to Australia.
