William James Busher was born about 1878 in Ireland, A son to Robert Busher. He served twice in the South African (Boer) War; first as a Private S.N. 322 in the 4th Queensland Imperial Bushmen, second as a Private S.N. 886 in the 1st Battalion, Australian Commonwealth Horse (Qld).
