Dies On
Its National Day
BRISBANE, Saturday. — After little more than a fortnight's serious illness Lieut-CoL Hubert Reginald Carter, V.D., Consular Agent for France, died today. He was appointed Consul for France immediately following the death of his father in 1917.
Col. Carter was honored by the President of France, being admitted to the Legion of Honor three or four years ago, and it is a coincidence that his death should have occurred on France's national day.

Hubert was also a member of the Fire Brigade Board
