Percy William Collins also served in WW1 as a Private S.N. 714 in the 13th Machine Gun Company. He noted on his WW1 service record Attestation Form his previous service in the South African (Boer) War.

He was born on 7 Oct 1876 at Ipswich, Queensland, a son to Daniel Collins and Ann Elizabeth Kendall Collins (nee Hughes). He married Helen (Nell) Maud Hodge on 28 Oct 1911 at Sherwood, Queensland, and they had one child.
