Archibald COOMBE was born in Campbell Town, Tasmania on 3rd July, 1862
His parents were Joseph COOMBE and Ann CHAMBERS
He served as a private & Transport Sergeant/Saddler Sergeant for 3 years in the 2nd Tasmanian Imperial Bushmen & the 1st Tasmanian Mounted Infantry during the Boer War
He married Ellen VARIAN in Campbell Town, Tasmania on 25th February, 1901
Archibald died at his residence in High St. Campbell Town on 24th February, 1941 & is buried in the Methodist Cemetery in Campbell Town
