Boer War Veteran
One of Fremantle's best known business men, Mr Thomas J. Corteen died at his Nedlands home last night. Managing director of Frank Manford Ltd., for many years he was also secretary to the Business Board of Administration, Defence Department. He fought with the Fifth Victorian Mounted Rifles in the Boer War. At 2.10 p.m. tomorrow his remains will be cremated at Karrakatta cemetery.
