Eric George Percy CRAN was born in Maryborough, Queensland on 11th March, 1871

His parents were James Walker CRAN & Jessie/Janet MANSON who married in Maryborough on 21st April, 1870

He served with the 2nd Queensland Mounted Infantry and was invalided home from Pretoria on the ship Orient with lung problems & failing eyesight and arrived in Brisbane on 16th January, 1901 & was discharged on 23th January, 1901

He returned to South Africa to marry Margaret Waimea WATSON on 27th January, 1903 at the Cathedral St George (Anglican) Margaret was born in Queensland in 1877

Eric died on 31st March, 1950, late of Stanthorpe, Queensland and is buried in the Stanthorpe General Cemetery, Section 6, Row V, Grave 55
