"FOUND DEAD

Edward Cummins, about 73, pensioner, single, living at Tanby, was found dead about 11.30 a.m. yesterday by Mr Strange, Yeppoon. It was stated that death had occurred during the night, and was due to natural causes. The police were notified and the body brought to Rockhampton. It is believed that Cummins, before he came to live at Tanby, was a farmer in the Dawson Valley." - from the Rockhampton Morning Bulletin 20 Oct 1951 (nla.gov.au)
