Border Watch Tuesday 19 November 1946, page 3 OBITUARY Mr. Mordaunt J. Dew Mr. Mordaunt John Dew, who was born in Mount Gambier; and spent his early life here, died at his home at Broadway, Glenelg, on Thursday morning, at the age of 76. Mr. Dew joined the South Australian permanent military forces in 1896, and enlisted for service in South Africa with the first South Australian contingent in 1889. He was a member of the South Australian Coronation, corps which visited London in 1902 for the Coronation of King Edward VII. He was member of the old Glenelg Town Band, and later played in the Hindmarsh Band. He left a widow; two sons and two (3?) daughters.
