A memorial for George Ernest Duel has been placed on the Australian Boer War Memorial database which indicates he was born 12 Apr 1879, possibly in England. BDM Qld online death register entry indicates he was the son of George Henry Duel and Emma Duel (nee Hogg). He married Sarah Jane Le Varing on 30 Sep 1904 in Queensland and they had 9 children.
