21 Jun 1901: Discharged Australian and Colonial Military Forces - Boer War Contingents, Private, 224, 3rd Queensland Mounted Infantry, AWM Boer War Unit Details, Murray p. 465 notes 3rd QMI embarked 9 May 1901 at Cape Town returning to Australia aboard Britannic arriving Sydney 7 Jun 1900 (rail to Brisbane), disbanded 21 Jun 1901. It appears he returned to South Africa to accompany horses/supplies for serving units in South Africa embarking at Sydney 26 Sep 1901 aboard Harlech Castle.

My maternal grandfather

I am trying to get details of my grandfather that died before I was born. All I have is his name and that he was born in Leeds UK. He and his family moved to queensland in Australia.
If anyone can help me find out more it will be greatly appreciated.
