Biography contributed by Claude McKelvey

It appears that Daniel Greenslade served twice in the South African (Boer) war. He first served as a Private S.N. 73 in the 3rd Queensland Mounted Infantry with that unit disbanding in Australia on 21 Jun 1901. Its unclear if he remained in South Africa or returned to enlist on 16 Sep 1901 as a Trooper S.N. 38193 in Howard's Canadian Scouts & Battery from which he was discharged on 24 Mar 1902.
