A Mrs. Alice Fallon filled out the Roll of Honour form for William Love and stated she was his foster mother. She made the following note.

"He was beloved and esteemed by his pals my son Pte G. Fallon 37th Batt were like brothers. When he died he was a stretcher bearer and everyone who knew him loved him."

Mrs. Fallon also received his person effects, a souvenir epaulette and some letters.

William Love made out a will giving his deferred pay to Mr. Thomas Jones of Mulwala, and the remainder of his personal estate to Mrs. Alice Fallon. Mr. Jones wrote to the AIF in 1921 and told them "William Love had no relations that he knew of, being deserted by his parents when he was an infant, he never knew who his mother and father was.

His medals, plaque and scroll were stamped as "untraceables"
