Also enlsited for WW1 in NSW but was ruled out as medically unfit and discharged prior to embarking.
When John Joseph Hall enlisted in 1901 in the 5th QIB and his details were published with the rank and file in The Queenslander, 16 Mar 1901, he noted his N.O.K. as his brother H. W. Hall, East Billabong Station, Parkes NSW. It appears that prior to enlistment John was in Qld at Townsville.
When he enlisted for WW1 at Parkes, NSW, on his Attestation Form dated 24 May 1916 he noted; he was born at Bathurst, NSW and was 43 years 3 months of age; he was married and a farmer at Bindogundra, Parkes, NSW; his N.O.K. was his wife Mrs. Minnie Elizabeth Hall,; and he had previously served in the Boer War with the Qld Imperial Forces.
John Joseph Hall was born on 11 Jan 1873 at Bathurst, NSW, a son to James Stephen (Joseph) Hall and Catherine Hall (nee Hogan). He married Minnie Elizabeth Alexander in 1905 at Molong, NSW, and they had 7 children while residing at Parkes.
