Also enlisted in WW2 for home service, Private S.N. Q225233, 7 Battalion Volunteer Defense Corps, Qld.

When Thomas Hincks enlisted in 1901 in the 6th QIB and his details were published with the rank and file in The Queenslander, 13 Apr 1901, he noted his N.O.K. as Mrs. S. Hincks, Glengallen Rd, Warwick. In the Boer War Service Paybooks for the 6th QIB, Bk 2 p. 48, it is noted he directed part of his pay to his mother Mrs. S. Hincks, Campbells Plain, Warwick.

He enlisted again for WW2 and on his Attestation Form dated 12 Apr 1942 he noted; he was born on 15 Nov 1882 at Lancashire, England; he was a Farmer; he was married and his N.O.K. was his wife Maud and were living at Brookstead Qld; and he had previously served in the Anglo Boer War.

Thomas Hincks was born on 15 Nov 1882 at Lancashire, England, a son to Thomas Hincks and Susan Hincks (nee Colbourne). He married Maud Cox on 12 Apr 1909 in Queensland and they had 3 children.
