Trooper Percy H. Hiscock. of the Rbodesian Field Force, is a native of Kew, and in private life followed the business of contractor. He cante from New South Wales when the Imperial Bushmen's Contingent was being formed purposely to enlist in the Victorian Contingent. Trooper Hiscork was one of the garrison of 400 under Colonel Hore who were besieged for 14 days at Elands River, and he has written to his friends in Victoria a graphic narrative of the incidents of the siege. The letters were read at a recent gathering at Kew when some returned Victorians were welcomed. Trooper Hiscock, who was at Preterm when last heard of is a brother of Mr Walter E. Hiscock, Accountant, of Queen street. Melbourne.
