Son of John Victor and Catherine Lancanshire (Vick) Holdsworth.
A BENDIGONIAN PROMOTED
Lieutenant J. H. B. Holdsworth, former ly of Bendigo, who joined the Third Victorian Contingent, has, we learn through Mr. G. H. , been promoted to the rank of captain and is now attached to the Fifth Victorian Contingent. Captain Holdsworth is now in full command of the Boer prisoners at Pretoria.
Captain J.H.B. Holsworth, who went to Wellington from Melbourne eight years ago, has died at Brooklyn, NZ. Captain Holdsworth served in the South African war with the Australian Forces.
