William Henry Holland

William Holland was my great-uncle. He was the eldest son of Thomas and Ellen (Tormey) of West Hindmarsh. Along with his brother Thomas twice served in the South African campaign. William was mentioned in dispatches for gallantry.
William died in December 1916.

Biography

Previously served in Australia with brother Thomas Everard Holland in  D Company, 1st Battalion then in same contingents during Boer War.

1st South Australian Mounted Rifles and 2nd Battalion, Australian Commonwealth Horse.
