Military
Alfred Herbert "Alf" Jones served in the military in 1901 when he was 24 years old.
Alfred (Alf) joined the Army and went to South Africa to the Boar War as a Sergeant with the 2nd mounted Rifles. They sailed to South Africia on the 17th march 1901 on the H.M.S. Custodian. His service number is 2781.
