Horace Elliott BRIANT was born in Upton Park, England in 1881

His parents were Mark BRIANT & Phoebe GILLINGHAM

He married Florence Beatrice ELLIS on 25th December, 1904, in St James Church, Walthamstow, Essex, England - two known children, Florence Gladys and Horace Alfred

He enlisted at the Royal Agricultural Showground in Sydney in 1914 & embarked from Sydney on the HMAT Berrima on 19th August, 1914

Horace was invalided home to Sydney on 10th November, 1914 due to illness (epilepsy) and was discharged on 18th January 1915 as medically unfit

He died in Sydney on 3rd October, 1916 and was given a Military Funeral - he is buried in the Waverley Cemetery in Sydney
