Albert Forrest Leach was born about 1873, the son of Charles and Agnes Forrest. He was single and living at Rosalie, Brisbane when he enlisted in the South African (Boer) War. He returned to live in Brisbane after his service marrying Elizabeth McLaren on 15 Nov 1913.
