A Boer War Veteran, B. S. Lessey was a police detective in Western Australia and later ran a car company named Lessey's Drive Yourself Pty Ltd in Sydney. He died in Sydney in 1953. Barton Scobell Lessey married Charlotte Annie Linard in Perth in 1906.
